Job Summary (Primary function)
This position is responsible for day-to-day accounting, monthly internal financial reporting and quarterly/annual external financial reporting.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Prepare and manage completion of external reporting to SEC (10-K, 10-Q, Proxy).
Coordinate and prepare finance section of the quarterly Press Release.
Serve as primary point of contact for external auditor quarterly review, annual audit and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance.
Prepare internal financial statements for management review.
Manage 401(k) audit and financials.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
Review manufacturing accounting and inventory movements.
Perform valuation for equity grants and record stock compensation expense.
Participate in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
Participate in special projects as needed.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and CPA.
At least 5 years' Big 4 public audit/accounting experience and 5 years industry experience, preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail oriented and highly organized.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Solid understanding of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley 404.
Ability to use various accounting software applications (SAP/Hyperion).
