Job Description

ChristianaCare is seeking a Portfolio Manager of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) to lead the development of Portfolio Management best practices, solutions, and tooling including but not limited to intake, prioritization, sequencing, portfolio health, and benefits realization. This position will eventually attract, develop, and retain a team of Analysts as they administer, manage, monitor, and report on the enterprise portfolio. Additionally, the ideal candidate should bring a passion for portfolio management, an unyielding customer focus, and a drive for successfully delivering business value.

This is a hybrid position - remote and in-office schedule. Will be discussed during the interview process.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Actively reviews portfolios, programs, and projects for data quality and provides real-time feedback to improve metrics in alignment with desired objectives and outcomes.

Ability to write as well as coach a team on ability to write relevant reports, queries, and dashboards while executing analysis to support the continued maturation of project processes, within our enterprise portfolio management tool.

Supports portfolio related technology through license maintenance, system testing and minor development as appropriate.

Assists with conducting portfolio wide analysis on project and program pipeline and delivery risk, including sequencing, dependencies, capacity, forecasting, and the execution of quality and timely delivery.

Working with stakeholders, identifies and contributes to the Performance Measurements function by helping to develop and establish key performance metrics and dashboards for measuring the quality, effectiveness, and progress of services and solutions.

Assists with benchmarking project management performance to identify improvements and achieve higher capability maturity in SPM/PPM.

Identifies process improvement opportunities and assists in establishing standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation in support of the team.

Performs ad-hoc assignments, including leading and supporting special projects.

Create a cohesive, high-performing team of analysts who administer, monitor, and report on portfolio intake, prioritization, health, and performance.

Monitor portfolio activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the enterprise and alignment with portfolio management.

Effectively resource manage team capacity against a strategically aligned portfolio.

Support the continued advancement of a Project Management Community of Practice and facilitate the development of a Center of Excellence.

Provide and presents organizational communication and education on policies and procedures related to the areas of responsibility. Ensures communications are consistent and coordinated.

Support the Corporate Director EPMO on execution of vision and facilitation of growth of portfolio management maturity within the company.

Manage portion of EPMO budget and team including managing recruitment, retention, staffing plans, performance accountability, and annual performance management reviews, and relationships with outside vendors.

Education and experience requirements:
7 or more years of portfolio management experience
3 or more years of leadership and people management experience (preferred) with a precision focus on solving complex business problems for customers both external and internal.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, information systems, project management or related field; project management and/or general business management, or equivalent related experience.
PMP training and certification preferred, but not required.
