RAMP Reliability Data Controller

Company wants to fill a position in the Rail Asset Management & Performance Center team in New Castle, Delaware. The applicant is responsible for reporting on our performance indicators to monitor the allocated fleet(s) and identify opportunities to improve the fleet's reliability and performance. The Reliability Data Controller will investigate and recommend continuous improvements for the company's locomotive and train set fleets and providing specialist technical support to the maintenance teams.
Applicants who want to join our company's Service Department would be responsible for the following tasks:
Ensure the field experience data and information is collected thoroughly and completely
through the given tools, e.g., Salesforce, SAP or MAXIMO, comprising all corrective and preventive maintenance activities and material use.
Maximize fleet performance by analyzing data to help prevent in-service failures and to provide trend analysis to aid fleet reliability improvement measures.
Evaluate data for historic failures and establish trend analysis to support material, logistic and maintenance planning.
Identify improvement opportunities to the performance team.
Review, update and analyze internal performance databases.
Monitor reliability and performance trends and develop improvement proposals.
Produce reports for Fleet Performance and Reliability as required.
Review all defects and actions taken to rectify those to a satisfactory level.
Monitor maintenance practices and assist with continuous improvement programs as
Supply clear, concise, accurate, and timely reports.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Position requires a minimum of an associate degree in a Data Analytics or equivalent field. Any appropriate combination of academic and work experience.
Required amount of travel: 5%
Must demonstrate core competencies of effective communications, listening, and have strong organizational skills.
Ability to learn quickly how to use several different internal databases / systems
Proven ability to work systematically and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Must be computer literate, and have knowledge of computerized maintenance systems, or possess the ability to learn.
Must possess proven skills with all Microsoft Office (including Excel/Word/Access/PowerPoint/PowerBi) products (advanced knowledge)
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Basic understanding of Reliability principles in relation to the overall product development life cycle (verification/validation of requirements, failure distributions, root cause analysis, FRACAS, etc.)
Experience maintaining and utilizing FRACAS databases
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
1-3 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
Understand Rolling Stock maintenance regimes and fault-finding principles
Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations CFR-49
Background or formal training in Quality tools, e.g., six sigma, Cause mapping, 5s.
Ability to analyze data and prepare reports using analytics and business intelligence platforms like Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, TIBCO Spotfire, or similar.
Experience with basic Excel/VBA/SQL programming, with knowledge of applying script logic to extract, analyze, or process data.
Understanding of Railroad key performance indicators/metrics (e.g. MDBF, MTBF, FPM, Availability, MTTR)
Experience with Reliasoft Software (Weibull ++) analyses
