Embedded SW System Test Engineer
The Embedded SW System Test Engineer will provide system level testing of embedded SW and electromechanical subsystems to verify meeting all requirements.
Develops and manages the System Test Plans to optimize the lifecycle performance of the platforms. Manages the Traceability Matrix of all testing against requirements. Supports all testing from concept to commercialization across the entire product lifecycle.
Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Assists in plan and authoring testing protocols, conduct testing, and documentation
Performs a variety of routine lab activities, providing QC support for testing on new products which are in various stages of prototyping and development using a variety of lab methodology & instrumentation & associated computer software(S) such as Python or C++.
Optimize test cases to maximize feature coverage and re-use combining system and SW testing.
Ensure robust system(s) by fully testing feature sets prior to commercialization.
Automation of components via scripting and simulation to verify embedded code and electronics.
Drive adoption of best practices in testing, maintainability and product lifecycle maintenance.
Consideration of needs and requirements of other internal stakeholders as part of the system development.
Work closely with a cross functional engineering team while developing and supporting the testing of product features throughout the entire development cycle.
The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following
Willingness to work on fast paced, challenging engineering projects independently and in a multidisciplinary team
Ability to design experiments, and collect and analyze data with software such as LabView, MATLAB, etc.
Excellent organization and communication skills, teamwork and problem solving.
