Principal Associate, Paid Digital Marketing
Capital One, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 best companies to work for" is seeking an innovative and data-driven Principal Associate to fill a high-profile position within the Bank Marketing organization to drive marketing campaigns, creative strategy and test and learn agendas primarily in Paid Digital Channels (Search, Affiliates, Display, Social, etc). The ideal candidate will have experience developing, executing, and analyzing B2C paid Digital marketing campaigns.
Lead channel expansion or launch strategies to help us realize our ambitious account acquisition goals. Drive execution, analysis, and optimization of the strategy. Post expansion/ launch leverage analysis and strategic thought leadership to help define where to go next.
Continuously optimize channel mix and advertising budget to meet ROI goals and make recommendations for further expansion.
Leverage digital marketing performance metrics to draw meaningful insights and actionable implications from data to optimize strategies and creative.
Be the strategic lead, managing collaborative cross-functional teams (business partners, creative teams, legal, compliance, agency partners, etc.) to problem solve, develop, and execute strategy.
Work cross functionally with Data Science, Ad Tech, and Creative to develop and test new models, bid strategies, audiences, and messaging to drive growth.
Manage project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met
The Ideal Candidate
An understanding of direct response marketing channels and experience leading digital campaign strategy, execution, and analysis across one or more of the following: Search, Affiliates, Discovery, Display, Social, etc.
Experience managing external digital marketing agency partnerships and leveraging that partnership to turn marketing strategy into in-market execution
Demonstrated desire to stay on top of ever changing digital marketing trends and cutting edge Adtech tools
Is confident interpreting analysis and structuring analytical requests in order to form a marketing strategy and approach
Strong multi-tasking, organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with demonstrated experience effectively working with and influencing senior level and cross functional stakeholders
Thrives on collaboration, the opportunity to build in white space areas and the drive for results
General manager mindset with strong strategic, analytical, and creative capabilities to generate and build the case for transformative marketing ideas that drive forward business objectives.
Bachelor's degree or Military experience
At least 2 years of experience in digital marketing
At least 2 years of experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs
At least 2 years of experience managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing creative optimization frameworks
Masters degree in Marketing, Business or Communications
3+ years of experience in Paid Digital Marketing Channels
3+ years of experience in marketing for financial services or another highly regulated industry
3+ years of experience driving optimization plans and creative strategy
3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
1+ year of experience working with marketing tech platforms, including data management platforms
