Job Summary
As an integral member of the Certara Synchrogenix business development team, your work as Business Development Director - Medical Devices & Diagnostics will involve identifying and building relationships with key decision makers both internally and externally. In this role, you will engage with potential Medical Devices & Diagnostics regulatory affairs, R&D, clinical operations and key executives to illustrate the competitive advantage that Certara Synchrogenix brings through its regulatory strategy consulting, medical writing and submission leadership, and related regulatory services, including our technology enabled services.
The BD Director-MD&D is able to represent the entire range of Certara Synchrogenix solutions to:
Medical Device & Diagnostics companies of all sizes,
and, where warranted, in combination with her/his BD counterparts in biopharmaceutical, for companion and combination products
As regulated by governmental health agencies such as the FDA, EMA, MHRA, NMPA, PDMA, MFDS, HSA, TGA, etc.
This is a highly consultative role requiring the BD Director-MD&D to uncover customer needs through a deep understanding of their corporate, program-specific, and personal goals and design a customizable solution.
The BD Director-MD&D will report to and work closely with the Head of Commercial, or his/her designee. Key duties:
to develop the appropriate strategy for discovering new business opportunities, inform proposal creation,
Work as a member of the larger Certara Synchrogenix Commercial team, including Marketing, Proposals & Contracts.
Participate in developing Go-to-Market strategy and its application appropriate for MD&D clients.
Represent the firm at trade symposia and other professional associations, in order to promote services, engage with clients and prospects, and collect competitive intel
Work collaboratively with the Regulatory Services team to engage subject matter expertise in the pre-sales process leading up to closure, and post-close project delivery, as well as larger account management
Work as a self-starter who will operate remotely day-to-day, week-to-week given that other Commercial and Services functions are dispersed throughout the US or EU. As such, this person will need to coordinate closely, advise on North American and European MD&D market needs, and implement strategies
From time-to-time, coordinate with other Certara Synchrogenix business activities in Market Access, Real World Evidence, and related Commercial Sciences services
From time-to-time, coordinate across other Certara business units including Software, Simcyp, and Integrated Drug Development to leverage the full firm's relationships and services
