Your Role as the Purchasing Manager
In this Purchasing Manager role, you will lead oversight of inventory and focus on waste elimination and cost-savings measures. You will utilize your leadership skills to oversee the purchasing team members. Responsibilities include:
Manage all purchasing activities for the company
Develop purchasing and inventory control procedures and processes
Determine present and future material needs and create a just in time model for forecasting.
Oversee removal of products for inventory reductions
Review inventory reporting and plan appropriately
Address supplier and vendor issues
Negotiate purchased services, contract reviews, and term approval
Create purchase orders as necessary
Approve and submit invoices to accounting.
Background Profile
Expertise in supply chain or purchasing management
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline
Experience in international purchasing and supplier relations
Strong knowledge of budget planning, demand planning, and forecasting
Experience with international imports
Strong communication skills
