Job Description

Bill Me Later, Inc., a PayPal company, seeks Manager, Risk Forecasting in Wilmington, DE to analyze statistical data regarding possible relationships between observed portfolio behavior using internal PayPal metrics as well as external data, such as macroeconomic metrics. Monitor performance of existing models and develop and assess the efficacy of alternative model methodologies. Participate in monthly/quarterly reserve setting process with Finance and Accounting teams to formulate strategic initiatives based on historical data trends. Monitor global portfolio performance data trends to ensure alignment within PayPal’s Credit Risk Appetite. Partner with Operations team to analyze, design, and monitor strategies to improve credit losses. Leverage internal and external data to enhance existing models and business rules. Analyze portfolio trends and prepare analytical reports to deliver strategic loss forecasting insights. Extract and analyzing large data sets using one or multiple statistical packages such as SAS, R or Python.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics or closely related quantitative discipline plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in the field of model development or quantitative analysis or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics or closely related quantitative discipline plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of model development or quantitative analysis.

  • Linear Regression analysis and Logistic Regression
  • Time Series Analysis

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Experience can be gained through academic coursework, scholastic achievement, or work experience.
