Bill Me Later, Inc., a PayPal company, seeks Data Scientist 1 in Wilmington, DE to develop and document CECL/IFRS9-compliant loss prediction models for global credit products leveraging internal performance data and various macroeconomic inputs. Analyze model development process from model design and dataset construction, through validation to implementation. Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross functional teams to identify key drivers of credit loss behavior. Communicate model methodologies and results to managers and stakeholders through executive level presentations. Participate in monthly/quarterly reserve setting process with Finance and Accounting. Utilize knowledge and experience of credit loss modeling methodologies to analyze various data sets and predict solutions to any possible issues.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Business Administration, Finance, or closely related quantitative discipline plus four (4) year of experience in the job offered or four (4) year of experience in the field of data analysis or credit underwriting.
