Entity and activity description

Air Liquide R&D centers, hosting a wide range of competencies, support the Group in achieving the highest level of excellence in the technologies it provides to its customers. The Delaware Innovation Campus (ICD) in Newark, DE provides innovation and technical support to Air Liquide's businesses and markets in the Americas and worldwide.
Our Delaware Innovation Campus, inaugurated in 2007, leads research and technology initiatives in 8 scientific and engineering disciplines. With researchers from 21 different countries, the Campus had the distinction of being named to the 2015 Philly Top Workplaces by the Philadelphia Inquirer and philly.com and cited in 2016 by the Delaware Business Times as one of "13 Cool Companies in Delaware." Job Responsibilities

Manage the Engineered Systems Group at ICD in its mission to facilitate the engineering, design, construction and optimization of projects and processes for R&D at the Innovation Campus Delaware.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for overall management of the Group through the progress and efficient execution of projects: including budgeting, cost control, engineering, quality, procurement, schedule, planning, design reviews, risk mitigation, progress reviews, change management, documentation, technical specifications and code requirements.
Ensure coordination and/or development of mechanical, piping, structural, process systems along with configuration of system electrical and instrumentation and control diagrams, including PLC programing.
Ensures that work scope, project documentation, drawings, etc. are developed to meet internal standards/good engineering practice, and regulatory requirements are maintained throughout the project.
Responsible for the project closure process to ensure lessons learned are incorporated into continuous improvement efforts.
Facilitate the Campus 3D printing capabilities for rapid prototyping design.
Develop and lead the group including the performance review process.
Actively participate in the creation and management of the group's budget.
Demonstrate leadership in process and operational safety at all times and demand that of others.
Responsible for personal and group's safety performance.
Responsible for compliance with the Industrial Management System (risk/project execution/quality/process governance).
Other duties, as required, in support of R&D.
Qualifications & Competencies

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
7+ yearsexperience in Engineering/Management
Extensive knowledge of construction practices and project management.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English language
Demonstrates strong process and operational safety behavior at all times.
Strong chemical engineering and/or process engineering knowledge
Knowledge of building codes, consensus engineering standards and applicable regulations (ASME, API, CGA, NFPA, OSHA)
Ability to manage and influence others with a demonstrated capability to collaborate with people and organizations while delivering results
Ability to coordinate with other groups, other internal Air Liquide groups, external contractors, and suppliers
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a diverse, international organization.
Preferred
10+ years of experience in Engineering/Management
Experience leading team/project management
Ability to be flexible and adapt to frequently changing conditions/priorities
Chemical or Gas industry experience.
Additional Information

Working Conditions
Has full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs.
May require travel occasionally to support projects.
