Entity and activity description
The GM&T WBU delivers technological solutions (molecules, equipment and services) to support the new markets of energy transition, maritime logistics and scientific exploration, in order to accelerate Air Liquide sustainable growth.
To support the energy transition, GM&T brings environmentally friendly solutions to the clean energy market with hydrogen energy and Bio-Natural Gas for vehicles, refrigerated transport using nitrogen, but also the treatment and injection of Biogas into the energy grid as a local power source.
As a player of the deep tech sector, GM&T commercializes technologies dedicated to Space, Aerospace and scientific exploration. GM&T also supplies gases for players in of the maritime sector and provides logistics for cryogenic transportation by sea of value added molecules, such as helium.

The Process Engineer provides process and mechanical support for one of the major fiber production processes. The primary responsibilities will be to provide day-to-day process support and oversight to the Highbay Fiber Production process. Process support will include: monitoring of quality and uptime, troubleshooting, identify and implement process improvement and optimization initiative, commission and start-up any capacity expansion and continuous improvement projects, and participate on project teams for any projects associated with the process area.
Working closely with the Product Platform Manager, fellow Process Engineer(s), and Engineering Specialist the ideal candidate will develop technical expertise in the Highbay process area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness; adhere to and support the continuous improvement of all safety practices / procedures.
Monitor work areas for unsafe conditions. Maintain good housekeeping standards.
Participate in routine safety reviews (HazOps, PHAs, PSSRs, etc.) and promptly address any findings.
Complete all assigned safety training. Proactively identify and address unsafe conditions in assigned work areas. Participate in the Behavioral Safety Program.
Monitor and troubleshoot: The Highbay Fiber Productionprocess includes batch processing, fiber spinning, extraction, distillation, and coating.
Review process and mechanical design. Suggest and implement improvements and update drawings or other documentation.
Assist with training and education of operators for all process changes and projects, safety related issues, operational procedures, and equipment use.
Investigate process problems: gather information, consult with appropriate resources, and ultimately propose and implement improvements. Document troubleshooting efforts for future reference.
Provide updates on equipment uptime and quality to process engineer(s) and Product Platform Manager.
Aid in implementation, startup, and validation of new process equipment to increase production rates in membrane manufacturing and processing.
Work closely with Operations Team to ensure a safe, efficient and smooth operation of the production processes.
Assist with efforts to transition product development activities to full scale commercial operation.
Interact and work effectively with all groups throughout the organization: Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS), Operations, Maintenance, Project Management, Quality, R&D, Sales, etc.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies
Minimum of B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in teams and individually
Strong command of English language - verbal and written
