ChristianaCare is looking for BC Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to serve as Director of Education for our new Pediatric Center in Newark, DE, opening 2022.
The Director of Education will partner with the Chair of Pediatrics, the Director of the Pediatric Center, and the Pediatric Nurse Educator to design and implement a longitudinal SIM and didactic curriculum for the Pediatric Center faculty and staff. The position will also involve clinical policy and procedure development. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are critical. Board certification required. Experience in PEM clinical education and curriculum development preferred. Protected time will be provided to support this role.

The ChristianaCare Pediatric Center, anticipated to open in Summer 2022, is an exciting new, collaborative practice model designed to deliver 24/7 high quality urgent and emergent pediatric care in a family-centric environment. The 14-bed Center will employ pediatric- and emergency medicine-trained physicians and staff. Half of the rooms will be equipped for observation stays. Available imaging modalities include x-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI. Multidisciplinary teams will benefit from a longitudinal simulation and didactic curriculum, and faculty will have resident teaching opportunities. All physicians can elect to establish academic affiliation with Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
