JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Software Engineering in Newark, DE


Job Duties: Solve business problems through software-related innovation and engineering practices. Provide software architecture and design solutions to fulfill stake-holder's common goals and requirements. Evaluate functional and data requirements for multiple business processes. Perform analysis of database models and develop efficient queries as per business requirements. Analyze legacy application requirements, identifying opportunities for process and toll improvements and driving them from concept to implementation. Develop test case and perform unit testing. Design and develop re-usable software components that are cloud-ready. Build Connect ready applications using Tick42 software. Perform design reviews and provide design recommendations and incorporate security requirements into design. Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications.


Job Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as an Application or Software Developer, Technical Lead, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree and one (1) year of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s and three (3) years of experience.


This position requires experience with the following skills and technologies: Working in mature programming methodologies and languages, while adhering to coding standards, procedures and techniques; One or more modern programming languages including Java Development Kit 8/11 and Cloud; Maven; React; Angular; Spring; Hibernate UNIX ( Solaris and Linux); Apache Tomcat; Kafka; ElasticSearch; Kibana; Logstash; Messaging including KAKFA, Message Queue, and Java Messaging Service; Database; Oracle and SQL-server; Open-source Java-based frameworks and tools including Apache, Spring , Hibernate, Core Java, J2EE, and Design Patterns; SOAP Web Service; REST; Web development with focus on rich UI component development, including JavaScript, JavaScript Model View Controller, extJS, AngularJS and HTML5; JIRA; GIT; and Continuous Integration Tools.
