8 temporary, full-time Construction Laborers from 4/01/2022 to 12/06/2022 in Bear, DE.

Duties: Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers.

No minimum education or experience required.

Must be able to exert force to move up to 75 lbs if necessary.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to use movements to operate small mechanical construction equipment.

Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and a pre-employment, post-employment, and post injury of incident drug test, paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B.

Must be able to pass on-going random drug tests.

Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Applicants must complete an employment application.

Employer will offer approximately 40 hours of work per week. Workdays will be Monday-Friday. Normal shift: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM. 30-minute, paid break per shift. Workdays and shift times may vary.

Basic wage rate: $16.87 per hour. Employer may increase wage based on experience and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per work week.  Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $25.21 per hour based on locality the work is performed and the base rate of pay offered.

Employer will provide on-the-job training.

A single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly.

Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law.

Optional medical, dental, and vision insurance. $30 deducted per paycheck for medical insurance. $9 deducted per paycheck for dental insurance. $3.05 deducted per paycheck for vision insurance. Healthcare cost payroll deducted if worker elects.

Transportation provided, at no cost to employee, from main worksite in New Castle County to multiple worksites in Kent County, Sussex County, and Cecil County.

Employer will help worker find affordable housing.

Public transportation under a mile from main worksite.

If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $13.17 per day during travel to a maximum of $55 per day with receipts. If necessary, employer will reimburse worker within first pay period for approved cost of meals and lodging at the applicable exchange rate, not to exceed reasonable costs. Receipts must be submitted.

The employer will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

The employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job. Uniform pieces provided at no cost to employee.

The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
