Job Summary (Primary function)

The Senior Manager ERP Tech Ops is responsible for supporting the planning, development, testing, implementation, and support activities associated with the Incyte SAP Ecosystem (primarily SAP S4). These activities are closely aligned to the Incyte global financial process needs. The primary SAP areas of focus for this role include Supply and Demand Processing, Direct Procurement, and Contract Manufacturing. The incumbent identifies and promotes continuous improvement opportunities to enable SAP functionality/ capability that will enhance and/or optimize business processes. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating their activities in conjunction with operational delivery services from approved external providers. Their activities are to support and work collaboratively with members of the IT and Business Teams. The incumbent follows all relevant SOPs and internal controls to ensure compliancy with security, financial, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

Implement rollout of large-scale initiatives to successful completion. Identify, communicate, manage, and escalate risks timely and appropriately.

Work collaboratively with key external and internal stakeholders to understand the challenges, needs and opportunities in order to define and implement an optimal course of action.

Participate and contribute with cross-functional teams, and bring a broad awareness to identify impacts/effects of process or technical decisions.

Iteratively improve system delivery and maintenance execution with minimal oversight.

Interface with other IT and Business teams as needed to coordinate and support existing operations and new initiatives.

Execute support activities related to SAP Finance, including proactive issue identification through ticket resolution, planning and oversight of maintenance windows & activities, and responding to ad hoc requests from Business users or other IT resources.

Provide both oversight and logistical support for third-party technology and service providers, including coordinating troubleshooting efforts and upgrades with third-party providers, directly troubleshooting client application issues, and managing vendor relationships as needed.

Keep up-to-date on relevant technologies and industry trends in assigned technology landscape.

Proven ability to translate business requirements, processes and designs into well-documented system designs.

Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills including the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. Individual must have a thorough understanding of the main business processes within finance operations.

Demonstrates strong knowledge and application of testing strategies, methodologies and has been responsible for executing unit, integration and user acceptance testing.

Team player with good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate clearly, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and take direct requests from business and IT colleagues, able to provide end user training as required.

Ensure full documentation of existing deployed technologies, system changes to existing technologies, and newly implemented technologies in accordance with policies, good system practices, and any controls/audit requirements.

Understand and articulate business demand and its impact on various IT and business programs.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

BS degree required in Information Technology or related field.

Minimum of ten years of proven Information Systems experience, with at least ten years of SAP functional experience based in include Supply and Demand Processing, Direct Procurement, and Contract Manufacturing in a life science and regulated environment.

Minimum of three years experience in APO or preferably IBP.
