Humana is looking for a Lead SDLC Process Owner that is passionate about process improvement. This person will be accountable for governance, oversight, improvement, and promotion of our IT Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). We are looking for someone with the expertise, creativity, and customer-centric focus to make our SDLC modern, relevant, and agile all while minimizing risk. You will organize a group of expert Directly Responsible Individuals who set the polices, standards, and expectations for our SDLC, weaving it together into one comprehensive set of guidelines. You will be empowered to make strategic and tactical decisions to bring our High Performance Engineering mission to life: advance Humana’s engineering practices with best-in-class DevOps and Agile capabilities to accelerate speed to value with quality.
The Lead SDLC Process Owner plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives and works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. The Lead will be accountable and responsible for defining the future of our System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the included processes and standards.
Other Key Responsibilities
+ Evaluate existing processes
+ Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement and identify indicators for future improvement opportunities
+ Measure performance against process requirements and align improvement to performance shortfalls
+ Provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality
+ Deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control
+ Observe, survey, and analyze best practices within Humana and externally for techniques and processes
+ Advise executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance
This role is a remote, work at home role anywhere in the US. Candidates in Louisville will have flexibility to work both in office and at home once CDC restrictions are lifted, but will be 100% work at home in the interim.
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
+ 5+ years of experience working within an SDLC at Humana or another company
+ 5+ years of project leadership or oversight experience
+ 5+ years of process improvement experience
+ 1+ years experience working with agile delivery
+ Proficiency in business consulting and/or operational leadership experience
+ Strong business and financial acumen
+ Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Project and Visio
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport at all levels within the organization
+ Ability to interact with and defend position with senior management
Work at Home/Remote Requirements
+ Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
+ Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite, wireless and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10×1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
+ Experience with Azure Boards
+ Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean certification
+ Organizational Change Management (OCM) experience and/or certification
+ Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) certification
