Barclays Bank Delaware seeks a Vice President, Risk Group Lead for its Wilmington, DE location.

Duties: On behalf of global financial organization, analyze and interpret statistical data to identify significant differences in relationships among sources of information. Identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect the results of research. Determine statistical methods are appropriate based on company needs. Provide oversight on the management of credit risk strategies to support the resilient growth of Barclays credit card portfolios. Identify existing and future credit risks and opportunities and optimize business strategies including new account underwriting, credit line assignment strategies, pricing strategies, and judgmental lending strategies. Check and challenge credit strategy and marketing proposals to ensure they are sound and meet investment hurdles. Perform statistical analysis and utilize analytical skills and business knowledge to analyze, validate, track, and monitor strategies and provide recommendations to optimize business. Evaluate data using statistical analysis techniques.

Requirements: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any), Statistics, Finance, or a related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience as an AVP, Assistant Manager, Senior Business Analyst, or a related occupation. Must have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with all of the following: Utilizing statistical analysis tools such as SAS/SQL for data mining, analysis, strategy recommendations, and reporting. Statistical techniques including regression analysis and segmentation using CHAID decision trees to optimize business decisions based on product’s risk reward dynamics. UNIX and advanced Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint skills to summarize and present analysis and automate monthly reports. P&L evaluations to understand the impact of key product and strategy changes on the profitability drivers and recommend changes to increase portfolio profitability. Develop business strategies to support new account acquisitions and drive resilient portfolio growth. Evaluation of new and alternative data sources/models to enhance decision-making and improve portfolio performance. Enhance loss-forecasting process to accurately measure portfolio performance and take appropriate actions to manage within guardrails. Risk and portfolio monitoring to analyze key Portfolio Risk KPIs and provide insights on key areas of focus to enhance portfolio resilience.
