Entity and activity description
The GM&T WBU delivers technological solutions (molecules, equipment and services) to support the new markets of energy transition, maritime logistics and scientific exploration, in order to accelerate Air Liquide sustainable growth.
To support the energy transition, GM&T brings environmentally friendly solutions to the clean energy market with hydrogen energy and Bio-Natural Gas for vehicles, refrigerated transport using nitrogen, but also the treatment and injection of Biogas into the energy grid as a local power source.
As a player of the deep tech sector, GM&T commercializes technologies dedicated to Space, Aerospace and scientific exploration. GM&T also supplies gases for players in of the maritime sector and provides logistics for cryogenic transportation by sea of value added molecules, such as helium.

Under the direction of the Director of Operations the Manufacturing Supervisor is accountable for the safety, quality, on time delivery, productivity, material handling, cost performance, and continuous improvement for the assigned shift/department. Job requires adhering to production planning, following QMS (Quality Management System) procedures including ISO9001: 2015 standards and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Job requires efficient use of resources (labor, materials and equipment) to manufacture quality products at lowest cost and delivers to the customer on time, every time. The position supervises and coordinates the activities of hourly employees on the assigned shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
Take a leadership role in plant safety. Assure that safety policies and regulatory guidelines are followed by all employees at all times
Coordinate end to end production scheduling on shift to meet external and internal customer demands, manage overtime, minimize inventory, and reduce costs.
Assure that manufacturing is focused on making quality product.
Reviewing/auditing and following all manufacturing procedures, work instructions and recipes. Ensure employees complete required quality checks and audits.
Escalating quality issues on a timely basis; taking actions including production stoppage if warranted. Inspecting the quality of materials and alerting the Director of Operations or appropriate personnel of material issues/failures immediately. Inspecting the quality of the machinery and reporting equipment failures to the maintenance department.
Drive customer centric mindset and culture by utilizing Lean/Six Sigma tools
Direct supervision of all Manufacturing Operators on the shift. Interview applicants, make hiring recommendations; conduct employee evaluations and document employee performance including but not limited to safety, attendance, punctuality on the job behavior, throughput and quality
Build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee satisfaction. Provide direction, training, and development as needed. Provide coaching, counseling, or discipline as needed. Recommend disciplinary action to Production Manager.
Use database/data logging systems to analyze production output, quality, cost and other operational measures to detect production problems
Prepare production metrics to track performance of daily output and variance
Execute preventive maintenance tasks assigned to the shift
Develops and engage Lead Operators to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned team
Performs additional duties as directed.
Qualifications & Competencies
3-5years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or Lead Operator
Strong verbal and written communication skills
