Job Description

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Software Engineer in Wilmington, Delaware.

JOB DUTIES:

Design and develop software applications. Design and implement new features following the best development practices. Use design patterns to improve the quality of code and write unit tests to improve overall test code coverage. Help with migrating applications to private cloud. Participate and provide technical support during production releases. Remediate and resolve production issues. Take and complete stories in each sprint and continuously deliver defect free business valuable components. Work in a one feature oriented Agile team following industry standard Agile practice. Attend daily scrum meeting, participate in PBR grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives. Ensure excellent practices are utilized in delivering the presentation channel user interface layer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master’s degree in Technology Management, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the position offered or one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer, Java/J2EE/Applications Developer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in lieu of the Master’s degree and one (1) year of experience. 

Skills Required: This position requires any amount of experience in the following: Spring core, boot, security, AOP, and cloud; Web services including SOAP and REST; Database connectivity exposure using JDBC and ORM framework such as Hibernate; Frontend experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery; coding, maintaining, and administering Servlets, and JSP, JSF components to be deployed on a WebLogic Application server and Apache Tomcat 8.0 application servers; managing App deployments on AWS; Installing, testing, and deploying monitoring solutions with Splunk services; implementing forwarder configuration, search heads and indexing; creating Splunk dashboard for better visualization in accordance with operational Security requirements balanced for optimizing data flow and providing visibility for security analysis.
