Agilent Technologies is seeking an experienced/graduate-level Chemical Engineer/Chemist for its manufacturing facility in Newport, Delaware. The Newport site is part of Agilent's growing Consumables and Supplies Division (CSD), with a focus on liquid chromatography products. Agilent's product quality and technological innovation lead the market. As a market leader, we are entering new phases of product transformation with increased emphasis on process standardization, product availability and quality, and new product and process innovation.
This is a high-visibility and growing product line where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to one of Agilent's key consumables businesses. Key responsibilities include working individually or as part of multi-discipline, cross-functional teams to:
Provide daily support for the production of silica-based packing for high-performance liquid chromatography columns
Resolve yield and scrap issues
Lead project teams to develop and deploy product and process improvements, which include capital projects and continuous improvement projects
Scale existing chemistries in support for a rapidly growing line of liquid chromatography consumables
Support and actively pursue Lean, 6-Sigma, and Safety Improvement projects
Execute and support the Management of Change control process, determine the disposition of nonconforming product, and create and execute corrective and preventive action plans to improve safety and quality
Provide support for and/or represent the site on new product introduction projects
Evolve existing chemistries and design new chemistries
Maintain SAP data accuracy (bills of materials, recipes)
