The Applications Graphic / UI Designer will report to the Director of Marketing, Software and will produce interactive value communication tools (apps) for pharmaceutical and medical device customer presentations using Certara's BaseCase platform. This person will collaborate closely with Certara's market access, medical affairs, and health economics consultants to create value communication sales tools for customers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and medical technology industries. It will focus on the implementation of design specifications using proprietary authoring tools while helping to shape designs and visuals, and requires someone to be visually creative and technologically savvy. Experience in health economics, market access, or payer marketing across life sciences is required.
Develop customer applications at the direction of the Software sales and marketing team
Wireframe, design, and implement applications for demonstration to customers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and medical technology industries with a focus on visual storytelling
Provide design solutions that achieve clarity and visual quality within technical constraints, and meet visual style and brand guidelines
Design and implement the UI and UX for different customer projects
Create and/or integrate assets, implement and test functionality of UI components
Create appropriate visualizations of economic data (e.g., Excel)
Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to gather specifics and implement feedback
Solve for technical problems
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
5+ years' experience in UI design
Experience in health economics, market access, or payer marketing across life sciences
Attention to detail and a keen sense of design and aesthetics
Proficiency with MacOS, design software (e.g. Sketch, Photoshop), and Microsoft suite of products
A knack for effective visual communication of complex data, concepts and information
Able to operate in a fast-faced, rapidly changing and growing environment
Strong creative energy and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders
The Ideal Candidate
Pharmaceutical experience is strongly preferred
Experience in market access, pharmacoeconomics, health economics, or a related discipline
Advanced skills working with modeling software, in particular MS Excel
An understanding of health economic modeling methodologies
The ability to evaluate health outcomes materials (value dossiers, scientific literature, etc.)
Ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
