ChristianaCare is currently seeking a Nurse Scientist with expertise in Evidence Based Practice (EBP) for the Nursing Research and EBP department. In this role, you will serve as an advisor in systemwide EBP program development, provide program oversight and serve as a key content expert. You will also have the opportunity to lead research studies and serve as a principle investigator, co-investigator or mentor in the generation of new knowledge to build nursing science that informs and translates into practice with the goal of improving outcomes.
Collaborate with nurses and other members of the healthcare team on a variety of research and evidence-based practice (EBP) initiatives that align with the Department of Nursing's strategic direction and the healthcare system's annual operating plan (AOP) goals.
Ignites the spirit of inquiry and partners with nurses to investigate clinical practice questions to advance nursing practice through EBP and nursing research opportunities.
Mentors and educates nurses in the EBP and research process.
Provides expertise and guidance in EBP program development, management, and evaluation.
Presents and publishes the results of EBP and nursing research initiatives internally and externally.
DNP or PhD or EdD required
MSN or BSN from an accredited nursing program required
Active nursing license
Experience in research design, planning, execution, analysis and dissemination
Minimum of 2 years' experience in research and/or Evidence Based Practice
Demonstrated track record of scholarly activities (peer reviewed publications and presentations).
Demonstrated leadership qualities
Demonstrated knowledge of research and EBP initiatives, nursing education, and clinical practice knowledge
Experience in using electronic medical records, Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), and other data collection, analysis and reporting platforms (ie REDCap, SPSS, NVivo).
This is a Casual position, working 8 hours a week.
