Sr. Dir, Software Engineering
As a Capital One Sr. Director of Software Engineering, there are exciting opportunities to work on everything from customer-facing web and mobile applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful microservices, to back-end Java based systems using the hottest techniques in Big Data.
We are seeking a Sr Director of Software Engineering to lead the transformation of our customer extended servicing technologies and platforms for document composition, delivery, archival, and retrieval. These are enterprise-scale platforms that support processing and storage of billions of documents (letters, statements, plastics) and are critical to the customer servicing experience.
Success in the role will require a proven track record of delivering software products with engineering and operational excellence, rigorous analytical skills, and a passion for driving innovation.

Technologists: Strong engineering and technology background, experience with public cloud and the ability to learn quickly and go deep into our product and engineering solutions. They bring solid experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as: node.js, Java, GO, AngularJS, React, Python, REST, JSON, XML, Ruby, Perl, NoSQL databases, relational databases, Hadoop, Chef, Maven, iOS, Android, and AWS/Cloud Infrastructure to name a few.

Lead, grow, and develop a high-performing organization of geographically distributed people leaders and multiple teams of product focused software engineers

At least 10 years of experience in software development
At least 7 years of experience in people management
