The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to manage the acquisition of transportation for all origin/ destination combinations, utilizing industry knowledge and tools. This person will be focused on identifying and capturing logistics cost savings while retaining high service levels to Solenis customers.


Identify and capture cost savings opportunities annually

Develop competitive supply base and build strong supplier relationships

Stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements

Benchmark Solenis transportation rates vs. market

Establish commercial agreements for all active shipping origin-destination combinations

Maintain Solenis transportation, warehouse, and third-party logistics providers contract records

Identify and implement contractual KPI's

Partner with 4PL on carrier RPQ and RFP

Track the historical Solenis logistics cost trends and forecast future logistics costs

Maintain update transportation rates in freight, audit and pay process










Bachelor's degree required. Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain preferred.



5 years sourcing bulk liquid truck, truckload, LTL, ISO tank, intermodal and ocean carriers for the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals

Strong knowledge and experience with Ocean transport specifically with hazardous goods class 5

Utilizing procurement software, to run sourcing events

Negotiating rates, scope of services and terms and condition for multimillion-dollar logistics and transportation contracts

Preparing and communicating logistics procurement strategies

Working with a remote, international team using telephone, email, web hosted meetings (e.g. Teams) and periodic face-to-face meetings

Hosting quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers to monitor KPI's and take corrective action when necessary

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint), Tableau, Workday
