POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Manager has responsibility for all aspects of the production operations including, but not limited to, balancing production with habilitation programming, efficient completion of all work orders, required paperwork, communication with production unit, and overseeing daily the work center.



Supervise direct reports including but not limited to recruiting, selecting, hiring, evaluating, performance management, disciplining and termination

Maintain production, quality, materials, and safety controls in accordance with the work order and specifications supplied by the customer

Maintenance of production equipment including but not limited to regularly scheduled maintenance and minor repair, and inventory records as required

Assist with the development of methods and standards for work order completion in cooperation with the work center production team

Communicate and interact with customers in a respectful and professional manner at all times

Pick up and deliver contract work and materials as needed

Attend meetings as requested and bring feedback to the team

Motivate and support both participants and staff in the completion of their assignments by setting clear expectations and meeting them where they are

Help maintain even production flow and quality control by monitoring staff, inventory and product inspections

Assist in monitoring, reviewing, and entering client earnings and payroll records

Ensure that contract work is completed and inspected in accordance with the work order by overseeing and completing 100% inspection of all products

Ensure that contract work is integrated with other components of the prevocational program including but not limited to socialization skills, employment habits and work skills

Ensure that all persons served and staff are actively engaged in prevocational activities throughout the day

Apply all current licensing standards and requirements to production and pre-vocational activities

Utilize Elwyn's work center record keeping and billing procedures in completion of production and payroll records

Communicate and interact with consumers encouraging self-sufficiency and improved self-concept

Respect the dignity and choices of each consumer

Identify unmet needs within the scope of the production area and address those needs

Work cooperatively with Program Manager to assure that policies and procedures are consistently followed within the Work Center

Perform the duties of the Training Instructor or Training Instructor/Job Coach as needed

Perform the duties of the Production Coordinator in his/her absence

Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and crisis intervention techniques using agency-trained protocols

Perform other duties as assigned

High School diploma; Bachelor's degree in business or human services preferred

One (1) year of production management experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Two (2) years of supervisory experience

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team

Must be able to perform CPR, First Aid, and crisis intervention techniques using agency-trained protocols

Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities

Demonstrated strong attention to detail

Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills

Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervision

Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions

Must be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention techniques using agency-trained protocols

Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
