This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week, on average.
Serve as a lead and provide guidance to food service workers. Perform a wide variety of tasks in the kitchen and/or dining area of a dining center. Work with the staff to achieve daily goals and to fulfill contractual requirements.

Set up food on self-serving lines and portion food for individual servings in accordance with instructions.
Refill cold bars, salad bars, pastry cabinets, condiments, juice dispensers, and set up dining rooms.
Replace glassware, dishes and silverware and refill condiment containers. Wipe and wash tables and countertops.
Clean work area, utensils, and equipment; remove garbage; mop floors, walls, windows, and tables. Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from serving counters.
Mix washing solutions and operate electric dish washing machine and/or wash dishes, glassware, pots and pans and kitchen utensils by hand.
Maintain in a sanitary condition equipment and work areas, utensils, and tables.
Perform ware-washing, and keep pot and pan areas in order prior to, during and after meals. Follow correct techniques, cleaning schedules and tasks.
May assign duties to lower level employees in the absence of a supervisor.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
One-year food service-related experience preferred.
Neat, well-groomed appearance required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong customer service skills required.
Working knowledge of food code.
Strong sanitation abilities and knowledge.
Basic computer user knowledge and ability.
