The Communications Specialist II (CS) operates as the voice of the Corporate Communications Creative Department, manages the creative team’s work from intake to final deliverable, and serves as the key point of contact for all client correspondence. The CS is in charge of maintaining the processes needed to ensure the success of the group, and work alongside other managers to improve upon those processes when its deemed necessary. This role will report to and partner closely with Corporate Communication’s Lead Project Manager to improve operational performance related to planning, execution and results measurement. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work in a rapidly changing industry, demonstrate problem-solving leadership, and be able to provide the necessary guidance to clients in order to achieve the desired goals and objectives.
The Main Responsibilities
+ Triage projects and determine if they are within the department’s strategic scope of work
+ Conduct an initial “project intake” meeting with the client to determine goals and retrieve additional, vital information that the team needs to execute creative and create a successful project/campaign
+ Work with clients from intake to the final deliverable: help determine project deadlines, objectives, and requirements; communicate relevant milestones; and manage all communication between the client and the designated creative team members
+ Ensure the creative brief of all assigned projects includes the necessary information to ensure the creative team has what they need to produce a successful end product
+ Work with the Creative Manager and respective team members to determine and manage detailed project schedules and ensure all deadlines are met
+ Maintain the department’s calendar – including all creative projects, events, and travel requirements
+ Educate clients on how to better utilize the department and additional self-service resources
+ Own and maintain the department’s internal SharePoint page
What We Look For in a Candidate
+ BA/BS or equivalent degree or certification is preferred
+ Assoc degree or equivalent education and relevant experience at a minimum
+ Superior organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to multi-task and manage ambiguity effectively
+ Self-starter/entrepreneurial spirit but works well within a team environment
+ Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills and strong business judgment
+ Strong skills in Microsoft technology products, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
+ Self-motivated, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and clients in parallel in a time sensitive environment
+ Strong communication skills and ability to creatively approach problem solving
+ Adobe Cloud experience is preferred but not required
