Job Description




WSFS Bank is currently seeking a Vulnerability Analyst.The Vulnerability Analyst is responsible for identifying and assessing enterprise risks based on threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigating factors. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for defining, identifying, and classifying the security vulnerabilities in a computer, network or communications infrastructure. The incumbent will identify flaws and weaknesses in information systems that may be exploited to impact the confidentiality, integrity and availability of a system, detect threats and vulnerabilities in target systems, networks and applications by conducting systems, network and web vulnerability scanning. The incumbent will analyze vulnerability assessment results, identify remediation strategies and provide timely reports to management for review. The incumbent will research and respond to emerging threats, zero day and recent vulnerabilities using trusted sources, provide guidance to management and Network and Technical services staff and work closely with desktop and server management teams to assign priority and approval to patch management. The incumbent will manage third party vulnerability remediation by acting as a liaison between technology services, application owners and vendors and will develop Microsoft and third party application security bulletins and notifications with recommendations to improve the security posture. The incumbent will develop internal communications to increase Associate awareness to common identified attacks and will create best practices to mitigate threat. The incumbent will develop reports on patch scheduling and compliance using SCCM as well as vulnerabilities in a common dashboard that is easily comprehended. In addition, the incumbent will provide a quarterly written and verbal update to management on current vulnerabilities and countermeasure recommendations. The incumbent will also assist in managing information Security ticket queue and assigns tickets accordingly.

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday position, located at our Operations Center in Wilmington, DE.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Security or related technology discipline with demonstrated knowledge of security management concepts.

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of prior experience with vulnerability assessment tools is required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of vulnerability management and security patching is required along with experience working with tools such as Nexpose, Nessus, OpenVas, Nmap, Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner, PowerShell, Python and W3af is required.

  • Working knowledge of SCCM is required.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.

  • Must have hands on experience with formal writing, documentation and presentation with the use of Microsoft Office products is required.

  • Demonstrated skills in technical issue resolution and excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to make decisions and take independent action on tactical and operational matters affecting Information Security issues.

  • Ability to work independently and execute multiple tasks in a fast pace environment
