The Role

As a Product Manager for Wholesale Voice Services you will have responsibilities for a sub-set of our local voice portfolio including COTN and e911. You will need the ability to work cross-functionally with Architecture, IT, Billing and Operations to further enhance product solutions to meet customer and regulatory requirements. Product Managers are expected to own their services and advocate for those services by taking the lead and driving the results. Ideal candidates would have a proven track record for being able to build a GTM plan that addresses customer requirements and trends, understands/appraises technical designs and be able to evangelize and support complex voice solutions. Candidate should have a strong knowledge of local voice services including 911, ordering and porting processes and the roles and responsibilities of the Carrier vs the Customer.

The Main Responsibilities

+ Drive and manage the financial margin targets for North American customers

+ Support deals with any required special requirements to increase our win rates and drive short term growth

+ Determine and own key initiatives that will improve customer experience and build longer term growth

+ Drive repeatability into any strategies, processes and documentation that help make us successful

+ Participating in workshops and presentations with customers to support Sales and determine requirements first-hand

+ Track the market and key trends and feed it back to your Product Management stakeholders

+ Collaborate with key Product, Sales, Engineering, Access and Operational stakeholders to drive key initiatives and developments

+ Qualify bids for bid/no-bid decisions, when applicable

+ Planning and execution of go-to-market and launch activities

+ Evangelize our services and thought leadership internally and externally

What We Look For in a Candidate

+ 5+ years of Product Manager experience with telecommunications network and voice services.

+ Experience working in a dynamic and complex environment

+ Broad high-level understanding of the wider Lumen network and other voice services to work with Product SMEs to determine joined-up value propositions

+ Working knowledge of New Product Introduction / Development processes

+ Strong presentation skills, being able to communicate targeted ideas with conviction

+ Financial budgeting and reporting of Sales and P&L performance

+ Clear communicator in English

+ Stakeholder management

+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering required, MBA preferred. Equivalent work experience would be considered for exceptional candidates.
