The Associate Director, Internal Communication and Change Management, is responsible for the internal communication strategy, plans, content, and execution for organizations within and across the IT Divisions and functions. In this role, you will work closely with our network of regional and divisional communication colleagues to activate strategic campaigns and help tell the authentic story of the division or functional area. You will be an active partner within the IT sub-division, helping elevate and communicate programs and initiatives focused on making IT at our company a place where people love to come to work and are enabled and inspired to do their best. You will work with people at every level to develop internal communication plans and materials that engage and educate our diverse employee population and support a culture of transformation.

The Associate Director, Internal Communication and Change Management, needs to have a passion for creative storytelling and a comfort level with operating and driving initiatives within complex, matrix organizations, focusing on change management, employee engagement, and content management. This position requires a strategic communicator with a generalist background and experience in various communication disciplines to support divisional communication needs. This role must implement an integrated, surround-sound approach, be willing to test new communication channels, and have the technical knowledge to post content and images on digital, internal platforms.


Internal Communication

+ Develop and execute an internal communication plan that connects and integrates transformation themes and inspires a shared vision across the IT organization and relevant sub-divisions, providing the right information, to the right stakeholders, at the right time.

+ Partner with key stakeholders across the IT organization and relevant sub-divisions to understand the value of our products and solutions and communicate them to key internal and external stakeholders.

+ Design out-of-the-box ways to excite, engage and inform employees with a narrative aligned with our IT strategy and objectives.

+ Advance storytelling efforts across global and division audiences by developing creative, informative, and engaging communication, including journalistic outcome-focused success stories focused on the business, strategic programs, senior leadership.

+ Shape effective external and internal communication with channel strategies: social media, multimedia, Yammer, email, digital signage, SharePoint, and community events.

+ Ensure communication are compelling and aligned with our desired voice and tone. Counsel and support business functions and senior leaders on their internal communication needs.

+ Use metrics to define and assess the effectiveness of communication.

Engagement & Event Management

+ Support divisional leadership on key internal communication and engagement events.

+ Orchestrate distribution of organization messages through special events, public speaking, or other means to reach defined audiences to meet specific program objectives.

+ Plan, manage and execute internal events on behalf of divisional leadership (e.g., Town Halls, TechTalks, internal and external speaking engagements), including developing content and copy, coordinating event logistics, hosting live events, and providing event support.

+ Help identify opportunities to connect employees within the IT organization and relevant sub-divisions and develop key messages and communication material to support those programs.

Change Management:

+ Partner with the IT Division Change Lead to define and execute effective communication plans to drive transparency, awareness, and adoption of transformation initiatives.

+ Support change management activities with relevant communication activities.


+ Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline.


+ 8-10 years of experience in corporate communication and/or a public relations agency environment.

+ 3-5 years of writing and copywriting experience for a variety of digital and traditional channels.

+ 2-4 years of strategic and creative experience developing communication campaigns requiring visuals, graphics, and multimedia using a variety of digital platforms.

+ Brilliant short and long-form writing and storytelling skills, capable of capturing the authentic voice in written communication.

+ Able to quickly grasp information and develop clear communication with minimal guidance.

+ Strong project management skills and the confidence and ability to effectively manage and execute multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, collaborative, deadline-oriented environment.

+ Proven ability to develop successful working relationships with senior executives.

+ Proven ability to operate with a global mindset, knowledge, and appreciation of global, regional, and local differences.

+ Expert judgment in critical decision-making on issues impacting reputation is required.

+ Experience driving change management communication.

+ Enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization.

+ Self-starter that thrives in a collaborative environment where you must partner cross-functionally.
