The primary responsibility of this position is technical support to operations including troubleshooting complex automation and control problems, determining root cause and implementation of solutions. The position requires application of process control software design and support of automated medical diagnostic consumable device manufacturing equipment in a constantly changing fast-paced environment. The ability to work in both new design and existing machine upgrades within a regulated environment is mandatory. The capability to manage multiple priorities successfully while working on multiple projects and previous experience working in operations is important. Self starting, excellent troubleshooting, communication, organization and prioritization skills are critical to success.
Working knowledge of Industrial Control Systems, with experience developing and supporting Rockwell (Allen Bradley) and/or TIA Portal PLC control systems and networks, WonderWare System Platform and data collection systems, Cognex and/or Keyence Vision Systems, basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Visual Studio (C++, C#, Basic). Exposure to Fanuc Robotics, Barcode Label printing designs utilizing Seagull Bartender, Lean Manufacturing Systems, Equipment Reliability and Total Productive Maintenance methods are all positives.
The ability to work independently in a respectful team environment is a must. Good oral and written communication skills, computer skills and strong results orientation and drive to meet committed deadlines are also required.
This role seeks a candidate with a bachelors degree in Electrical, Control, or Chemical Engineering with 2 - 4 years experience. Alternatively an Associates degree in a similar field and + 8 to 10 years exp in a related field is needed.
