The Biostatistician will independently provide statistical support for biomedical research projects including statistical analyses (basic, intermediate and advanced), data management/scrubbing, data interpretation, write-ups of analyses, and production of tables and graphs for manuscripts and proposals with oversight and direction from the Education and Research Subcommittee Chairman. The Biostatistician will provide consultation and assistance to clinicians, team members, medical students and residents in all aspects of completing medical research in an academic medical setting.Minimum Education and Experience Minimum Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics or related quantitative field Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related quantitative field. Experience: 1-year related experience in an academic or healthcare setting working with statistics and large data sets Experience with data collection and management 3 or more years’ progressive experience as a collaborative statistician in an academic or research setting in health care Computer/Software Knowledge: Knowledge of and proficiency in Stata, SAS, SPSS, R or other statistical software commonly used in healthcare research. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Proficiency with multiple statistical programs preferred Licensure/Certification Special Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities

+ Detail-oriented with excellent validation and documentation skills
+ High level of personal initiative; ability to work independently as well as collaborate in teams and with people from multiple business and scientific areas
