We're looking for a Technical Architect to join the Alliances & Channels Technology team who are transforming how we help Salesforce partners grow their business.
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing the business needs and design scalable application architecture working with your scrum team. You will be responsible for getting Enterprise Architecture Review Board and Trust approval for the architecture design. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to implement the architecture and guide them through the development lifecycle.
Your primary customer are partners of Salesforce across the globe, and the Salesforce employee stakeholders who support those partners.
Systems Design: Extend and guide the implementation of solution designs across business areas and systems. Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major design options and assess associated risks. Ensure that the system designs balance function, service quality, security, and system management requirements.
Buy/Build Decision Leadership: Participate in efforts to identify new software selection including the development of RFI/RFP, review and evaluation of commercial software solutions, lead proof of concepts and development of evaluation matrix through final recommendation, including hands-on execution where needed.
Application Architecture Deliverables: Partner with other architecture team to define, maintain, and manage architecture models, frameworks and artifacts (e.g. current and future state application architecture diagrams, data models, etc.).
Enterprise Architecture Review Board & Trust Approval: Prepare all documentation (Project goals, design and project plan) for architecture and trust review, present to the board and get the sign off to move ahead with the design.
Guide the consistent implementation of technical design across all initiatives in our portfolio, ensuring consistent implementation and extensibility. Provide the guidance and oversight to technical leads as to the long term implementation plan and cross-project impacts and dependencies.
Business Process Improvement: Analyze cross-functional business processes; identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches via technology enablement. Contribute to evaluating the factors which must be addressed in change management.
Business Analysis: Investigate operational requirements, problems, and opportunities for cross-functional initiatives, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes. Assist in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems, and identify solution options for consideration and potential benefits.
Data Analysis: understand corporate data requirements, and apply data analysis, data modeling and quality assurance techniques, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components in and across business areas/ applications of expertise. Provide advice and guidance to Product Managers, Engineers and others using the data structures and associated components.
Scoping/Effort Estimates: contribute to solution scoping and effort sizing with the cross-functional team.
Research: stay informed on technology trends and product roadmaps to make informed application architecture recommendations.
Experience and Skills
Excellent Salesforce experience delivering solutions on Force.com.
Knowledge on Sales, Service, Marketing Cloud Platform, Partner Community
Knowledge on Appexchange package development
Integration experience with 3rd party tools/apps
Experience developing Salesforce components using Aura and LWC
Experience designing security and compliance controls determined by industry or customer demand
Multiple Salesforce certifications.
