Job Summary (Primary function)

 

The Senior Manager, IT Global Technical Operations - Computer Systems Validation (CSV) is a member of the IT Global Tech Ops and is responsible for identifying, managing and helping perform CSV activities for the initial implementation of GxP system and for maintaining validated systems throughout the system's lifecycle; i.e. new releases, upgrades/updates, security activities, etc. The role partners with other IT Tech Ops leads, Business system leads and system administrators. The role also is the point of contact with external SaaS vendors on all CSV related issues. The Senior Manager, IT Global Technical Operations will also liaise with Incyte's QA department to document all CSV related activities using Incyte's approved Document Management system.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

 

Plan, design, develop, maintain and support systems implementations, upgrades, change management, and ongoing technology operations within the assigned business area

Collaborate with project stakeholders, system implementation partners, vendors, onshore and offshore resources on the assessment, design, testing and documentation of computer system validation activities/tasks

Coordinate work, policies, etc. with Corporate Quality Assurance to ensure that Tech Ops meets all Incyte company-wide requirements

Work with other Tech Ops IT leaders to drive the standardization of CSV scope among the many projects/functional areas of Technical Operations

Establish close relationship with business partners and collaboratively drive system testing strategy for the assigned area.

Create consensus with other stakeholders as to the timing of solution introductions and withdrawals

Manage and coach other junior member of the team to effectively support the needs of the business in this area

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in strategic and budgetary planning processes by providing input to the technology budget

Ensure the various support teams are collaborating to meet the expectations of CSV activities within the larger project implementation timeline and budget

Manage operational system expense, contracts and vendor relationship management

Operate within a culture of compliance and collaboration

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience

10 + years of Pharmaceutical CSV IT systems experience, supporting Technical Operations is preferable

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Experience with project management and good presentation skills

Ability to work with a team and manage multiple CSV project activities simultaneously with changing priorities
