Job Description

The Child and Adolescent team is looking for a clinical therapist with experience working with the Autism population. Clinician will support children; adolescents and their families engage in therapeutic environment. Clinician will join a multi-disciplinary team of Child psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and case managers. They will be responsible for assessments, treatment planning, therapeutic services, and interventions, while supporting a diverse population.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


Engage in therapy with patients and/or families using both in person or virtual settings.

Conduct individual and family therapy using evidenced based practices.

Appropriately assess patient and family needs.

Work in multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care.

Communicate with other individuals in community that are involved in patient care.

Engage in treatment planning.

Support patients and families engage in community and educational settings.

Identify social determinants of health and support patients access resources.

Crisis plan and determine appropriately level of care.

Plan for clinical transition of care.

Document and complete session notes for billing.

Participate in practice setting expectations including but not limited to team huddles, case reviews, hospital wide trainings, department trainings and other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Licensure:


Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mental health setting.

Minimum of 1 year experience working with the Autism population.

Additional certifications, qualifications, trainings, or experience using the following modalities are desired:

Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) / Trauma Focused CBT, Family therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) or experience with behavior modifications strategies. Relationship based therapies such as DIR/Floortime or Early Start Denver Model, Peers, Project ImPACT
