Job Summary

Our Bioanalytical Method Development / Method Validation staff has considerable experience with the conventional matrices (plasma, serum, whole-blood, urine, feces), as well as various animal and human tissues.  These professionals work with our clients to identify assay requirements and intended use, and then to develop assays using the most appropriate technology platform.  Assay uses include Tier 1 Discovery vs. Tier 2 Discovery vs. Candidate Selection Criteria vs. Regulated Bioanalysis, possible metabolites for small molecules, LC-MS/MS or LBA for oligonucleotide-based drugs, LC-MS/MS or LBA for peptide and polypeptide drugs, or Monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies for biologics.


Our Staff Scientists are key contributors in a laboratory role focused on conducting assigned studies according to study protocols, and recording study results and observations.   As a lead analyst, this staff member should be able to plan a study, and organize notebook, as well as process over 120 study samples (one or two runs) or multiple validation runs per day.


Essential Functions

  • Assist team lead in method development and validation.
  • Participate in the validation of unique scientific methods, assays, techniques, reports, etc.
  • Independently coordinate assigned workflow and satisfy study requirements in a timely manner.
  • Assist in summarizing data, including verification/QC review of study data, notebooks, and study reports.
  • Perform routine lab operations, such as sample extraction, preparing reagents, operating automatic liquid handling equipment, pipetting, weighing, monitoring, and recording, in a neat/clean manner
  • Document experiment details, calculations, results and observations in accordance with GLPs and SOPs
  • Perform data analysis and maintain study records



  • Familiarity with majority of wet lab instruments/equipment
  • The ability to collect and organize data, and to recognize problems that could impede completion of studies according to the study protocols.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Good mathematical skills to perform routine calculations
  • Good pipetting skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Education/Experience - The successful candidate will hold a degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related scientific discipline as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree with ≥ 2 years related experience
