Job Description Summary
The Director, Field Marketing is responsible for delivering the right tools, content, training, process, and best practices in sales enablement to help our Field Sales teams meet their objectives. This position will leverage marketing and consultative experience to proactively provide strategic marketing insights and thought leadership that will enable the Business Insurance (BI) Field Sales organization to achieve business goals. The position is also responsible for the development of scalable marketing materials, accompanied with training, to ensure the materials/programs are understood and used appropriately and effectively with independent agents. The Director will also work directly with the Marketing Strategy Leads (MSLs) and BI Field Sales team to understand local market needs and deliver on field sales requests for their respective region.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Field Marketing, this position will proactively provide local field marketing support and sales activations of Enterprise/BI integrated marketing campaigns. The Director will ensure the field has consistent access to sales readiness tools and information, analyze the impact of sales readiness tools and marketing support materials and make recommendations on changes to drive greater effectiveness. The position will also share Sales Enablement best practices, as part of the Field Marketing CoE (Center of Excellence), to ensure our Field Sales teams can maximize all Sales Enablement strategies to increase productivity and the drive further success of our Sales organization.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
+ Provides strategic thought leadership to Field Sales teams
+ Develops and shares marketing insights to assist Field Sales teams
+ Leads Sales Enablement strategy development and execution of effective sales enablement content and materials
+ Identifies areas of improvement and formulates strategies for success
+ Develops scalable materials and trains the Field Sales teams on how to effectively use the materials with agents
+ Trains the Field Sales team on how to effectively activate our Integrated Marketing campaigns
+ Monitor and analyzes the use of sales enablement content and provides recommendations to drive greater effectiveness
+ Provides our Field Sales team with the necessary marketing support and materials to assist them during the “evaluate” and “purchase” stages of the sales process
+ Manages all sales enablement projects and activities for assigned Field Sales regions
+ Maximize our sales enablement technology platform to assist in the execution of sales enablement materials
+ Partners with our internal Enterprise Integrated Marketing team to recommend Field Marketing strategies to support campaign development and execution
+ Works collaboratively with our business partners and Field Sales teams to understand their goals and makes recommendation on strategies to best meet business objectives
+ Other duties as assigned
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing related field.
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience supporting the management of integrated campaigns.
+ General knowledge of all facets of owned, earned and paid tactics.
+ Thorough knowledge of content writing and tools.
+ Thorough knowledge of multifunctional areas such as: digital execution, promotion, advertising, research, competitive analysis, communications, brand management, website management.
Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
+ Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
+ Proven track record working with field sales teams in the areas of Field Marketing, Sales Training and/or Sales Enablement
+ Successfully work in a matrix organization
+ Thorough knowledge and experience in B2B marketing
+ 2 years of previous leadership experience preferred, either direct or indirect.
+ Experience in insurance and/or financial services desirable

+ Individual must also have excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
+ An analytical and creative thinker who comes up with solutions “outside the box” when presented with novel or complex challenges.
+ Technically astute when it comes to working with marketing technology and sales enablement platforms.
+ Strong bias toward action, results-oriented and persistent, with the ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level in a matrixed environment.
+ Responsible for providing thoughtful and strategic input into the development of sales enablement content.
+ Accountable for developing effective sales enablement strategies and materials and driving new processes to maximize efficiency
+ Effectively communicates with all constituents (bottom up and top down).
+ Has proven ability to build and lead strong internal team/client relationships, and be a team player
+ Individual must be highly organized with strong attention to detail
+ Strong computer skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software
+ Demonstrates initiative and has a “can-do, and whatever it takes to get it done” attitude
+ There may be up to 15% travel in this role.
Additional Colorado Wage Information:
+ The salary range in Colorado for this position is $102,800 to $154,200
+ All employees are eligible for performance-based cash awards, either through Travelers annual bonus program or through the Reward and Recognition (R&R) program.
