The Manager of Social Work for CareVio is responsible for providing direct oversight of our social workers and to the services that is provided to our CareVio patient population. Provides support to the Medical Director, Assistant Medical Director, Corporate Director and CareVio Operations Directors to ensure the social needs programming of our population is being met and rigorously evaluated while holding social worker staff accountable in meeting program expectations. Is responsible for coordination of special departmental projects to include patient and staff satisfaction, program development and service delivery improvement. Works to ensure that our patients and families social needs as well as emotional and environmental needs are addressed through thorough identification of available resources/services through the provision of a full spectrum of social work services while ensuring these needs are fulfilled and contribute to the patient/family well-being.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides direct oversight of the Social Work team and the services that are provide to the CareVio patient population.
Oversees the provision of outpatient social work services at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center
Development, oversight and facilitation of support and advocacy programs
Oversee the financial responsibilities for the CareVio Social Work program to include the socioeconomic assessment and applications to appropriate internal and external resources as warranted
Supports department activities for members of the social work staff including identification and resolution of team issues, responsibility and coordination of social work services and distribution of work.
Coordinates and initiates training/orientation programs for staff; coordinates ongoing educational presentations - in cooperation with other members of the department and other staff of CareVio.
Oversees patient and staff satisfaction initiatives for social work services being provided under the Care Vio program.
Communicates with internal/external customers and acts as a representative of the department to communicate issues as needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
Master's in social work from an accredited graduate school of social work.
Minimum of 7 years of experience of which at least 2 years have been working in a leadership role.
LCSW is required.
