Job Description

The Intelligent Solutions team, within CIB Securities Operations, is dedicated to delivering cutting edge automation and workflow tools to manage and measure our work and develop a diverse workforce ready to adapt to change. The team acts as an internal consulting team, innovating and collaborating across various lines of business and bringing a mix of process re-engineering, project management, functional and technical expertise to drive digital transformation across operations.

Role Description:

The candidate joining our group will be part of a newly launched program where they will take on a hybrid role with responsibilities including performing Securities Lending operational processes and then identifying, designing, implementing automation solutions using our Intelligent Automation toolset (UiPath, Alteryx, Xceptor, and Tableau).

Operations responsibilities will include:

+ Processing and monitoring of daily trade settlements in domestic and international markets

+ Resolving differences on daily cash and position reconciliations

+ Managing inquiries regarding client sales and recalls

+ Point of contact with external lending agents, relationship/product management, and with the US equity, corporate bond, treasury, and international trading desks

+ Accrual and allocation of investment earnings

+ Operation workflow management and issue resolution

Automation responsibilities will include:

+ Collaborate across multiple LOBs to drive and maintain a book of work

+ Perform reviews of teams and their processes and work with SMEs to develop and deploy reengineering and automation solutions

+ Prepare management reports to drive prioritization of various automation initiatives

+ Develop automation tool skillset and script/promote agile solutions

+ Create meaningful dashboard analytics to track process improvement key performance indicators (KPIs)

The candidate will develop technical expertise on how to redesign and solution manual processes as well as gain deep knowledge in collateral maintenance, account maintenance, cash settlements, lending and investment trade support, and client revenue processing.

Due to the hybrid nature of this role, the candidate will be facing off with a wide variety of partners and stakeholders including trading desk, product teams, counterparties, central automation teams, and senior management.

Skillset:

+ Bachelor’s Degree (technical/quantitative field preferred)

+ Working knowledge of automation and data analysis tools such as Python, Alteryx, and R with practical experience a plus

+ Securities Lending knowledge a plus

+ Ability to learn quickly learn new tools and concepts and teach them to internal stakeholders.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

+ Ability to work independently or work in group setting

+ Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills

+ Ability to organize, prioritize and manage personal work against competing demands

+ Excellent communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills

+ Owns and contributes to activities both within and outside direct remit
