The Indirect Procurement Specialist is primarily responsible for creating a competitive environment within the Solenis supply base, achieving cost reduction and cash flow targets within North America. The ideal candidate can:


Independently develop a sourcing strategy to deliver cost savings and cash flow targets

Analyze spend data to identify cost savings and cash flow improvement opportunities

Identify and develop preferred supplier network and achieve supplier consolidation

Become subject matter expert of assigned indirect spend categories including material purchases, services, and capital projects

Negotiate contracts and purchases of indirect materials and services to ensure best conditions for Solenis

Coordinate sourcing initiatives with global team to share best practices and align on multinational supplier sourcing strategies

Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams to achieve results

Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Utilize e-technologies (i.e.-RFP's, Internet searches, reverse auctions, etc.)

Ensure compliance with Solenis Environmental, Health & Safety, and Responsible Care programs

Track results and succinctly communicate work progress during on-line meetings at critical milestones and/or regularly scheduled intervals









Minimum 3-5-years of sourcing experience.

Knowledge of contract and pricing terms and conditions.

Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other technical degree preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a geographically distributed organization.

Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Working knowledge of SAP.

Excellent organization capabilities and project management skills.

Data analysis skills - Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and their higher-level functions such as pivot tables, v-look, formulas, etc.

Problem solving skills.

Ability to identify, understand and provide prioritization of actions to all elements of the organization.

Ability to work in a very diverse and matrixed environment across a broad group of multi-functional stakeholders.
