The Department of Communication at the University of Delaware is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor with primary expertise in the area of Interpersonal Communication, beginning Fall 2022. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. prior to the start of the appointment. Ideal candidates will have exceptional competence in quantitative research methodology and advanced statistics. Additional communication expertise in areas such as health, technology, interculturality, diversity, media, and/or strategic communication is highly desirable.

The Department has Ph.D. and MA Programs in Communication, a Strategic Communication MA Program, and a robust undergraduate program with more than 600 majors. To facilitate collaborative opportunities, outreach, and research, the Department is home to the Center for Political Communication, the Center for Health Communication, and the Interpersonal Communication and Media Processes lab. The Department has experienced significant growth in its graduate programs in the last three years, and highly qualified candidates should be able to engage in a rigorous program of research, mentor graduate students, and demonstrate an ability to secure external funding for their research.

The College of Arts and Sciences (https://www.cas.udel.edu/) at the University of Delaware offers exceptional educational experiences including integrated instruction, research and public engagement.
