Job Description

Christiana Care, Primary Care at Middletown East is looking for a Senior Outpatient Medical Assistant.


ChristianaCare Primary Care at Middletown East located in Middletown, Delaware. Primary Care at Middletown East offers primary medical care for adults and children. Some of the services this location provides are immunizations, physical examinations, preventive medicine, and the treatment of acute and chronic conditions.


Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, non-exempt Monday to Friday position.

Weekday hours are traditionally 8am to 6:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Fridays from 8am to 4:30pm

Saturday shifts from 8am to 12pm (will be rotating)


Education Requirements:

A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or

Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years' experience is preferred


Qualification Requirements:

To operate as a team leader and mentor of office staff in the practice to facilitate functions and duties.

Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.

Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not required.
