As a Biochemist 1 , you will be responsible for :

+ In your activities, you will applyscientific and statistical principles inside and outside of the laboratoryto accomplish a wide variety of technical applications for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assay development.

+ You will assist with assay feasibility,verification, and validation through routine testing following writtenprotocols under direction of a more senior technical professional.

+ You will perform tasks including samplepreparation and handling, reagent preparation, and operating analyticaland clinical instrumentation.

+ You will assess results forapplicability, validity, and conformance to design specifications.

+ You will assist with preparingdocumentation needed to accomplish routine technical assignments.

+ You can complete a wide variety ofroutine technical assignments.

+ You have good PC skills (MS Officesoftware like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel).

+ You possess strong laboratoryskills, good organization skills, troubleshooting skills, and the abilityto work in a fast-paced environment.

+ You can aid in preparing reports,charts, graphs, and other documents.

+ You are comfortable handlingpotentially biohazardous materials (serum, plasma, urine, etc).

+ You have good communication and presentationskills in the technical environment and demonstrate team orientation.

Requiredskills for success in this role:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalenttraining / experience in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or clinicalchemistry / medical technology

+ Typically up to 2 years ofsuccessful experience in related field.
