The B2B Commerce Practice Team is seeking a Solution Consultant with experience in ecommerce, marketing, service, or corporate B2B operations background to join our B2B Commerce Practice team. At Salesforce this role is part of the broader B2B Commerce Professional Services team, which includes technical and functional subject matter experts on implementing, using, and optimizing Salesforce B2B Commerce, in addition to digital commerce and omni-channel best practices.

 

Reporting to a Practice Manager, this individual will play a strategic role by applying their commerce experience (full lifecycle implementations, commerce business strategy, value drivers, use cases/functionality adoption, scoping, solutioning) and lead/support initiatives to drive Practice/Product expertise across the Delivery Services Organization (e.g. standardized assets, best practices, success stories, skill development). In addition, this individual will use their commerce domain knowledge and more technically oriented skills as a valuable and trusted advisor to collaborate with sales teams to shape solutions for pursuits and service Customers during and post implementation to accelerate value.

 

Responsibilities:

 

As a Solution Consultant within the B2B Practice, you will be serving as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert to the company's largest, most complex enterprise customers as well as internal teams. Here are some salient responsibilities the role entails:

 

Identify and lead internal practice initiatives to grow the Commerce Practice; serving as an active contributor to the overall knowledge base and best practices expertise

 

Guide customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging solutions that drive increased business value and maximize use of native platform capabilities

 

Work collaboratively and have very strong communications skills, especially in complex concepts, and creative, prescriptive thinking

 

Identify and proactively manage risk areas and commit to seeing an issue through to complete resolution

 

Serve as a trusted advisor to the client

 

Manage customer expectations; help negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners where applicable

 

Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions that are fit for purpose and align with product roadmap

 

Work closely with Delivery Managers, Technical Architects, and directly with clients to shape solutions to meet client needs

 

Contribute to a program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on adopting capabilities of the Salesforce Platform

 

Be knowledgeable of the B2B Commerce product feature set, use cases, and industry verticals to which they apply

 

Ability to drive discovery, scoping, and define solution approaches for service pre-sales support

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Five (5) years in B2B manufacturing, distribution, consumer goods, or retail experience in areas of product/program ownership, operations, information architecture, user experience, and systems integration in the context of ecommerce

 

Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences

 

Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies

 

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience

 

A great listener with the ability to communicate with people in diverse roles

 

Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration

 

Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems
