DuPont Electronics & Industrial is seeking to fill an internship position with a graduate level student from the GOLD program (https://www.dupont.com/careers/diversity-and-inclusion/about-the-gold-program.html). The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary process engineering and chemistry team aimed at the scale-up and commercialization of electronic materials.
THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Ownership of portion of a project
+ Ability to meet project deliverables and create new ones if needed
+ Ability to work safely and efficiently in lab environment
+ Ability to plan, set up, and carry out routine analytical measurements of lab samples
+ Ability to design and execute experiments
+ Data analysis and reporting
+ Flexibility to perform other appropriate tasks as directed by Manager and/or Project Team
In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering related field (i.e. chemistry, physics, materials science, chemical/mechanical/electrical engineering)
+ Ongoing Master’s and PhD studies in science or engineering related field
+ Excellent communication skills and effective teamwork skills
+ The ability to follow standard operating procedures and work safely.
+ Must be independent, self-motivated, and capable of multi-tasking
+ Very good organization skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc, and the ability to learn new systems quickly is required
+ Proficiency in data analysis & basic statistics skills (%error, standard deviation, etc.)
+ Innovative thinking
+ Ability to work well on a team
+ Communication skills
+ Personal motivation & initiative
+ Organization skills
+ Attention to detail and safety
