Job Description


Your goal as an Incident Management and Resolution (IMR) SME is to address data quality issues through the IMR process. You are accountable for the IMR, will collaborate with other functions and teams to address them and ensure adherence to Citi’s Data Management Policy (CDMP).


+ Accountable for end-to-end IMR lifecycle of a data-related issue.

+ Develop, socialize, get approvals and execute IMR plans.

+ Develop, Maintain, Socialize IMR processes to ensure consistent adoption of IMR activities.

+ Support the business’ strategic data plan and policy to improve IMR process.

+ Partner with Business SMEs, Data Stewards and other stakeholders to identify data quality issues, confirm risk level, understand functionality, determine patterns, complexity, identify themes and develop and execute plans for managing and closing IMRs.

+ Conduct root-cause analysis for data defects, and support and promote its resolution.

+ Continuously identifies or supports opportunities to streamline and simplify the execution of the Citi Data Management Policy.

+ Subject Matter Expert on CDMP, Issue Management & Resolution (IMR), and knowledgeable with Data Quality and other data-related Citi policies and standards.


+ At least 1-3+ years of combined experience in financial services industry specifically within banking and/or data governance.

+ Experience includes managing / leading – within a line of business and/or across the enterprise – data and data quality initiatives, developing or supporting standards / policies and data-related issue management and remediation efforts.

+ Ability to:

+ Work under pressure, prioritize tight deadlines and regularly provided timely status updates to management.

+ Drive progress with limited guidance and short turnaround times.

+ Recognize and comprehend complex data governance issues, policies, regulatory requirements and industry information affecting the business environment.

+ Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of an organization, even in remote circumstances.

+ Experience with MS Office tools, including strong presentation development skills (PowerPoint).

+ Active team player i.e. one who contributes with ideas and solves problems, takes accountability, delivers on time and completes quality deliverables that adhere to standards and have depth.

+ Good verbal communication skills.

+ Willingness to pitch-in with other team members. Entrepreneurial spirit to identify problems or challenges and solve them.


+ Bachelor’s/University degree or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Information Systems. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
