JPMorgan Chase & Co. has an open Strategic Analytics position in Wilmington, Delaware.
Job Duties: Develop strategies to manage credit risk in Chase small business lending LOB. Develop and maintain business Acquisition Risk Strategies by conducting complex analysis to segment data and isolate risk using analytical techniques such as clustering and decision trees. Conduct analysis assessing small business customer profitability and credit risk to develop new credit risk strategies and drive healthy business growth with full cycle view of risk and profitability. Use Commercial and Consumer attributes to develop small business risk strategy in the industry through advanced analytical and segmentation techniques. Perform statistical analysis to identify attributes that predicts risk, and leverage these attributes to develop underwriting policies. Monitor the performance of existing business strategies and develop new strategies by analyzing internal performance and credit bureau data. Data analysis to support initiatives from business partners, such as marketing, finance and other risk functions. Work with risk execution to implement, validate, and monitor the strategy quality and its performance. Ensure robust control and governance to manage operational risk. Work with governance and control groups to support internal audit and external regulatory requests. Manage projects in a cross-functional orgs working collaboratively across Risk COE's and Line of Business partners.
Job Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two years of experience in quantitative analytics or related occupation. In lieu of two years of professional experience, the employer will accept 2 years of graduate-level academic research in a quantitative and analytical field of study.
This position requires experience with the following skills: utilizing data query tools including SQL and SAS to retrieve, manipulate, analyze, and summarize data; writing and implementing SAS programs and macros for complex data manipulation or automation; using MS Excel Pivot table to examine data and draw findings; conducting statistical analytics, including examining the distribution of variables and performing multi-variate analysis such as Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis, to develop reliable analytical insights; creating presentation materials using MS PowerPoint. The Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
