Job Description

The Resource Team Assistant provides crisis intervention for students as needed during residential hours, and helps enhance the staff’s capabilities to manage student behaviors through training, suite observations, and incident report investigations/debriefings.   The Crisis Team Assistant may train school residential staff in the Benedictine approved behavioral management program techniques.

Need more details?  Here are the primary duties and responsibilities: 

  • Respond to and provide intervention for any crisis events.  Participate and lead teams in student crisis interventions, following student BIPs.
  • Implement and oversee any BIP follow up as needed.
  • Complete train the trainer certification for the Benedictine approved behavior management program.
  • Provide ongoing training to residential staff on student BIP’s.
  • Monitor and observe suites; monitor and observe all general activity periods including meal times.
  • Notify supervisor of an incidents and complete DHR Reports within expected timelines, as needed.
  • Review all incident reports and participate in the debriefing meetings and process.
  • Train staff in the correct completion of incident reports.
  • Attend new admission meetings as required. 
  • Monitor protocols for use of safety equipment.
  • Monitor staff use of safety equipment and maintain equipment inventories.
  • Assist in elope searches.
