Job Description:

This position will have responsibilities for the development, execution and monitoring of USCC Acquisition Strategies for the Pricing Strategy. The analyst will use analytic tools to drive strategic and tactical recommendations through complex analysis that balances the risk reward tradeoff. This position will handle many aspects of new account underwriting strategies which include but are not limited to:

- Conducting analyses to segment acquisitions into pricing tiers in order to meet revenue and loss targets.

- Present ideas, recommendations and project results to senior leadership team and business partners

- Work with Technology and Operations to design and execute the strategy implementation

- Monitor strategy performance for enhancements, read test/control results, and identify opportunities to continuously optimize underwriting criteria

May be filled with a highly qualified Analyst II

Required Skills :

+ Proven analytical ability as demonstrated through 3+ years related professional work experience

+ 3+ years’ experience using database software and analytical/reporting tools, such as SAS, SQL to access large relational databases

+ A passion for learning and using data to derive trends, detect risks, and execute strategy projects

+ Demonstrates a strong understanding of credit risk strategies, financial drivers, and credit operations with proven problem solving skills

+ Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

+ Must be a team player, creative, strategic, and be a thoughtful risk-taker

+ Ability to communicate effectively and influence others to drive results

Desired Skills:

+ Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics, or a related quantitative discipline

+ Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred

+ Previous experience in developing credit risk strategies or models preferred

+ Analytic work experience in support of consumer or small business lending involving the use of credit bureau information

+ Strong working knowledge of the process and tools used for development, validation, implementation and documentation of credit risk and/or marketing business strategies and scoring tool kits
