This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic individual who has demonstrated success managing an engineering team in a highly technical manufacturing environment. This individual will be proactively identifying and delivering on strategic improvement opportunities that result in increasing efficiencies, reducing waste, and improving control of manufacturing processes in our New Castle, DE site.





Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to




As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager you will:

Management responsibilities of up to 15 direct reports

Apply the knowledge of engineering principles to plan and design manufacturing processes

Work with your team to identify process gaps and recommend and implement process improvements.

Drives process improvement activities to achieve dramatic improvement in the critical business metrics of safety, quality, delivery, cost

Maximize efficiency within the manufacturing facility by analysis of equipment layout, assembly methods, and workforce utilization

Provide support and coordination to the operations team, factory, and field personnel as needed

Drive activities to assure daily production targets and KPI's are achieved.

Daily interface with quality, engineering and production planning teams.

Encourage individual team member development and identify/provide /support opportunities for such.





The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following





You have a Bachelors Degree (preferably in a science related subject or in engineering)

6 Sigma certification perferred



Minimum five years' experience as a supervisor/manager in a manufacturing environment.


Experience with lab instrumentation preferred


Demonstrated ability to hold departmental team accountable for achieving targets and adhering to company policies, procedures, and other identified disciplines.

Financial analysis skills, including budget management, ongoing assessment of project risks/opportunities and basic accounting knowledge.
